Big Government.com: Glenn Beck Was Right, Says Leading Occupy Activist: #OccupyWallStreet Wants Violent Revolution<\/a><\/h1>\n

by Lee Stranahan<\/a><\/strong>One of Occupy Wall Street\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s early planners and activists has given public credit to Glenn Beck for correctly analyzing the ultimate goal of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement: a violent revolution in which the wealthy are dragged into the streets and killed.<\/p>\n

Malcolm Harris, an editor and activist who \u00e2\u20ac\u0153has been active in OWS since the first planning meetings<\/a>,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d confirmed Beck\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s analysis in his comments at a panel discussion on October 14th in New York\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthe same panel discussion that featured New York Times<\/em> freelancer Natasha Lennard<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Well, and I think that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s one side of what people want, right, \u00e2\u20ac\u2122cause that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not the only thing people want, they also want to take the banker out of his, you know, fucking tower and string him up in the public square, right? [Applause] That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthat\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not, like, just the crazy left. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s everyday folks talking about their experiences.<\/p>\n

And, like, this is America, right? We want to talk about \u00e2\u20ac\u0153we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re the 99%\u00e2\u20ac\u009d as if we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re also not the 99% that loves Transformers 4, right? [Laughter] As if this is the 99% that doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t also, like, feel passionate anger. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153All we want is, like, you know, our little appropriate piece of the pie and we just want to be friendly.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153<\/p>\n

And the capitalists know<\/em> that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not the case, right? If you want to read what the capitalists think about this you can go look at what Glenn Beck says, right? He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s got a better analysis than most people on the left about where this could go, how threatening this\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6I think he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s like one of those fortune tellers who 99 percent of the time is just totally bullshitting everyone, and then 1 percent of the time [Beck’s] eyes roll back in his head and he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s got, like, divine insight, you know: \u00e2\u20ac\u009dIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the coming insurrection. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s\u00e2\u20ac\u201cI\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been reading these French guys.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Harris seems to be referring to the following quote<\/a> from Beck on October 10, 2011\u00e2\u20ac\u201cjust four days before the panel discussion was held\u00e2\u20ac\u201cwhich received some media<\/a>attention<\/a>, as well as attention from numerous<\/a> Occupyactivists<\/a> themselves:<\/p>\n

Capitalists, if you think that you can play footsies with these people, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re wrong. They will come for you and drag you into the streets and kill you. They will do it. They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not messing around. Those in the media\u00e2\u20ac\u201cand say this, I am included in this\u00e2\u20ac\u201cthey will drag us out into the streets, and kill us<\/em>. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re wealthy, they will kill you<\/em> for what you have. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t\u00e2\u20ac\u201cyou cannot tolerate this kind of stuff. You certainly don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t encourage it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mediaite scoffs<\/a> at Beck\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s warning, but the activists at the heart of #Occupy Wall Street, like Harris, give Beck credit for understanding what the real endgame is.<\/p>\n

Harris confirmed his endorsement of Beck\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s analysis again this morning. After I posted a version of this article on LeeStranahan.com<\/a>, I was criticized by liberal photographer Steve Rhodes, who uses the Twitter handle Tigerbeat.<\/p>\n

Rhodes accused me of \u00e2\u20ac\u009dwild speculation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for saying that Harris was referring to Glenn Beck\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153drag us out into the streets\u00e2\u20ac\u009d quote.<\/p>\n

Yet Harris himself jumped into the conversation, and confirmed: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nope, @Stranahan pretty much nailed it.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
