(CBS Atlanta)<\/a><\/strong> Tomorrow, Woodruff Park will turn into something of a battlefield of principles as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Occupy Atlanta\u00e2\u20ac\u009d protesters attempt to reclaim the space for their ongoing protests.<\/p>\n<p>In the days leading up to the Nov. 5 reoccupation effort, online reports have surfaced claiming that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Occupy Atlanta\u00e2\u20ac\u009d has enlisted the help of the religiously charged and oft-controversial Nation of Islam.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the movement now deny these claims.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We have not asked the Nation of Islam to provide protection for us,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Tim Franzen, spokesman for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Occupy Atlanta,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d told the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/atlanta\/occupy-atlanta-plans-saturday-1214973.html\" target=\"_blank\">Atlanta Journal-Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Rumors of the collaboration began from within the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Occupy Atlanta\u00e2\u20ac\u009d camp. In one such report by the<a href=\"http:\/\/midtown.patch.com\/articles\/occupy-atlanta-plans-march-to-wells-fargo-in-atlantic-station\" target=\"_blank\">Midtown Patch<\/a>, movement representative Mandie Mitchell is credited directly with providing the information.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I think that will make a huge difference,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d protester David Smith added to the Midtown Patch on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Repeated attempts made by CBS Atlanta to speak with the Nation of Islam were not returned.<\/p>\n<p>One thing is for sure \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the group will be attempting to reclaim Woodruff Park at 8 p.m. tomorrow, using the First Amendment as their protection.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Please note the (First) Amendment is valid 24 hours (a) day, seven days (a) week, in public spaces nationwide!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d reads part of the event announcement on the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Occupy Atlanta\u00e2\u20ac\u009d website.<\/p>\n<p>The reoccupation is an attempt by the protesters to get the park back after Atlanta Police made a series of arrests on Oct. 26 that cleared out the crowds. In the meantime, protesters have been staying on the 4th floor of Peachtree and Pine.<\/p>\n<p>If representatives from the Nation of Islam do attend tomorrow\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s efforts, it will reportedly be of their own volition, and not due to any organized collaboration between the two groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153If they show up it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s because they chose to be there, not because we invited them,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Franzen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; ATLANTA, Ga.
