This game is a complete 180 from most story lines for online shooter style games, which are normally based around some type of conflict going on around the world. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/tomclancy-thedivision.ubi.com\/game\/en-US\/game_info\/index.aspx\"><strong>The Division<\/strong><\/a><\/em> hits home like no other game IMO set in a time of <strong>ECONOMIC &amp; SOCIAL COLLAPSE<\/strong>, put in motion by a pandemic&#8230; <strong>the perfect storm<\/strong> if you will.<\/p>\n<p>This trailer really makes you think about how far gone we are and how much time we have left. Watching this will leave you thinking &#8220;gee this sounds familiar!&#8221; This perfect storm is not impossible, we have a weak economic system and as for our current social state everyone is at just about at each others throat. All it would take is some event, a pandemic possibly, to set things in motion for a system barely in balance to finally come apart. Our entire economic system correctly described in the trailer as a &#8220;delicate &amp; unstable economy&#8221; is based on MAED (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=mutually+assured+destruction&amp;oq=mutuall&amp;aqs=chrome.2.0j57j0j5j62l2.4679j0&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8#gs_rn=17&amp;gs_ri=psy-ab&amp;tok=uCnQXYQckEfdolLj-gbLFA&amp;suggest=p&amp;pq=mutually%20assured%20economic%20destruction%20glenn%20beck&amp;cp=37&amp;gs_id=2&amp;xhr=t&amp;q=mutually+assured+economic+destruction&amp;es_nrs=true&amp;pf=p&amp;sclient=psy-ab&amp;oq=mutually+assured+economic+destruction&amp;gs_l=&amp;pbx=1&amp;bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&amp;fp=1e273a23b0904fa&amp;biw=1309&amp;bih=641\">Mutual Assured Economic Destruction<\/a>). Once one country falls the rest will follow like a &#8220;house of cards&#8221;, it&#8217;s not a question of if, but when.<\/p>\n<p>I also found it interesting how they worked in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/nation\/article\/0,8599,176066,00.html\">Operation Dark Winter<\/a> and Directive 51 into the storyline. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fas.org\/irp\/offdocs\/nspd\/nspd-51.htm\">Directive 51<\/a> also known as PDD 51 was signed in 2007 by George Bush for continuity of the federal government in the event of a &#8220;catastrophic emergency&#8221;. The problem I have noted in the past with it is &#8220;catastrophic emergency&#8221; is never clearly defined! It could be anything, economic, social, &#8220;localized acts of nature, accidents, and technological or attack-related emergencies&#8221;, which would allow the serving POTUS to enact powers seizing control over the US!<\/p>\n<p>So what should you take from this? Take it as a trailer for our coming future, another warning that things are getting so bad game makers are now &#8220;war gaming&#8221; the worst case scenario while gamers play it out to see who survives!
