Pro -abortion and -life groups held opposing rallies today as the Supreme Court hears another case, June Medical Services v. Gee<\/a>, brought up over a 2014 Louisiana access law ‘requiring all physicians who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at local hospitals… <\/i>The admitting privileges requirement will not make anyone safer, but it does demonstrably shutter abortion clinics. As a result, less than four years ago, the Supreme Court struck down a nearly identical Texas law in Whole Woman\u2019s Health v. Hellerstedt* after finding that the law provided no benefit to offset the \u201cundue burden\u201d it imposed upon women in Texas.’<\/i> (Slate<\/a>).<\/p>\n Many speakers were in attendance for the pro-abortion crowd including Sen Chuck Schumer, who called the competing rally attendees “bad guys” before giving his speech where he more or less threatened 2 newly appointed Justices:<\/p>\n \u201cI want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh – you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
