In his defense he is looking for a tax increase to have funds available to ensure the  police force is properly equipped. Is it a crime to be prepared? Oh wait<a href=\"http:\/\/savingtherepublic.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/shop-at-military-surplus-stores-buy-food-in-bulk-you-are-a-potential-terrorist\/\"> DOJ says it is<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vfZL2zACM-4?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"360\" height=\"203\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxlubbock.com\/news\/local\/story\/Lubbock-tom-head-tax-rates-president-obama\/PeO4Q8GeGEiy_FpxheUnmA.cspx\">Fox34<\/a><br \/>\nLubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"judge tom head\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.myfoxlubbock.com\/media\/lib\/146\/2\/f\/6\/2f6e7752-32a6-45e4-9030-20333e676d19\/Story.jpg?resize=126%2C126\" alt=\"\" width=\"126\" height=\"126\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/> Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA&#8217;s staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153He&#8217;s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Head asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I&#8217;m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we&#8217;re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we&#8217;re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Now what&#8217;s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He&#8217;s going to send in U.N. troops. I don&#8217;t want &#8217;em in Lubbock County. OK. So I&#8217;m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say &#8216;you&#8217;re not coming in here&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And the sheriff, I&#8217;ve already asked him, I said &#8216;you gonna back me&#8217; he said, &#8216;yeah, I&#8217;ll back you&#8217;. Well, I don&#8217;t want a bunch of rookies back there.
