DOJ Referred Reporter to Soros’ Media Matters

Twitter is blowing up after Washington Free Beacon writer C.J. Ciaramella made an inquiry to the DOJ for information regarding Katie Pavlichs book on the Fast and Furious operation. Ciaramella tweeted a screenshot of the email reply he received from Katie Dixon at the DOJ.

Here is the email in his tweet which included a link to an article over at George Soros’ Media Matters:

“Per your request for information on a Fast and Furious book, I was told to direct your questions to the FBI, and also to provide you with a link to this story..”

Dana Loesch over at BigJournalism writes:

“Ciaramella notes that the piece didn’t even answer his actual question.

Media Matters began losing donors close after it was accused of repeatedly publishing antisemitic content, oftentimes by others on the left, notably Alan Dershowitz. The propaganda site has declined to live up to its mission statement of “correcting conservative misinformation” in the media by avoiding the Daily Caller exposé.
Why is the DOJ colluding with a site accused of antisemitism to defend Obama’s bloodiest scandal? It’s nothing new: the Obama White House has worked with Media Matters on other agenda items and the DC reported weekly conference calls between the two.
Eric Holder’s Department of Justice is working with a far-left propaganda site (which stands accused of antisemitism) to run its defense against inquiries into one of our government’s bloodiest scandals. ”

So it looks like the DOJ and White House are using Media Matters as their press office now? I guess MMfA won’t be needing that tax exempt status anymore?!
