This is the basis belief among the entitlement generation. She in fact is saying you don’t need good grades as long as you think you know something and can do it. Problem is you can have someone who has great ideas for building a building or being a doctor. They have to get the good grades because the grades reflect the individual knows what they have learned, are made of and guarantees we the people will be “safe” by the actions of that person. I take this as an okay to fail as long as you know the material. Go ahead fail medical schol exams because you learned/know the anatomy! Follow what I am trying to say here?
Yes we do learn from our failures but thats AFTER you get a solid education to put theories to test! Grades prove what you know and don’t know. If you get A’s and B’s in history but get D’s in math you have no business teaching math! Get it?!
