Interesting timing isn’t it?! This is not a surprising move, it’s actually expected and I’m shocked these two EO’s are all he did! With people talking war in the middle east, economic disaster on the horizon in the US a low level gun grab makes total sense. You can be sure this is just the beginning, because the one thing this guy does is carryout his promises when they apply to taking away our rights nd freedoms. Empty promises like getting to the bottom of the IRS scandal nah! Promising to get gun control through bank on it!
Darth Hussein is a master of never letting a good crisis go to waste. Using the Syrian conflict as a smoke screen to reign in guns only shows he has no bounds to how low he will go. Now many gun grabbers will respond to those of us with a problem with this EO with a “so what it’s on old surplus weapons” and closing the loophole which allowed felons and others access to guns by circumventing background checks registering them to corporations or trusts, “why is that bad?”. While the later makes sense about stopping a loophole that could allow the wrong people getting access to weapons who shouldn’t it’s the action by his majesty which is upsetting. These are small steps that lead to an eventual big step violating our civil rights!
The emperor has demonstrated time and again he will go around Congress to push his radical agenda and our elected “leaders” do absolutely nothing to stop him. This is the true underlying problem with DC. The system of checks and balance is non-existent there is no one looking out for the people anymore!
The purpose of Executive Orders were to only affect the Executive Branch. We went to war with a tyrant to end such treatment and here we are again. I really don’t care about the other POTUS’ that used them in the past either we are talking about what’s happening now and a ROGUE president who is completely abusing and perverting this power.
At this point all that is missing now is his signing of the UN Small Arms Treaty while Congress is in recess!

Obama imposes new limits on guns through executive action

The Obama administration on Thursday imposed new limits on the import of military surplus firearms and closed a loophole that allows felons and others to get guns by circumventing background checks.
The executive actions come as the administration strives to act to reduce gun violence after Congress failed earlier this year to pass legislation in the wake of last year’s shootings in Newtown, Conn.
Democrats in the Senate were unable in April to garner enough votes for a bill that would have expanded the background check system and cracked down on gun trafficking.
“Even as Congress fails to act on common-sense proposals, like expanding criminal background checks and making gun trafficking a federal crime, the president and vice president remain committed to using all the tools in their power to make progress toward reducing gun violence,†according to a White House statement released on Thursday.
The Justice Department’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives issued a new proposed regulation that would close a loophole that allows felons and others to easily evade background checks by registering weapons to a trust or corporation…more
