Actually I think the war on poverty was a success! It has systematically created a permanent dependent entitlement uninformed voting class that grows by leaps and bounds. The Great Society and everything that followed has kept poverty levels at the same level for decades. This has resulted in Congressional districts voting one way for one party! One party rule is the end goal by those who are behind all these social entitlement programs.
