The most powerful man on the planet thinks everyone is dumb enough to believe that?! All the technology available to him, keep in mind he is first potus to have a cell phone (so think about the tech behind that), his admin not to mention the tech behind intelligence reports coming from the NSA, CIA and FBI are trumped by the news?!?!
