The only core of al Qaeda that has been decimated was bin Laden. They have taken their lumps over the years but the group is still engaged in battle from Syria to Afghanistan and God knows where in the west. Khorasan, IS and countless groups are all spinoffs and frankly appear to be a hell of a lot more lethal than AQ ever was. Leaders of all these groups are all top ranking AQ leaders. Other terror groups are pledging allegiance to them too, which puts the US and our allies in great danger. If AQ was decimated why re our troops still engaging them in Afghanistan, why are they in Syria, where did ISIS come from?
I wonder if the Propaganda Minister will be taking a victory lap swearing AQ is decimated when someone or a group of fighters hit the US? You know that guy that hopped the White House fence and got in the front door could have easily been an AQ or IS fighter wearing a bomb or simply carrying a grenade. Th regime is doing a massive disservice to the American people with this false sense of security that all is well. The threat level is high but they want everyone to think its sunshine, rainbows and lollipops!
