Dr. Gil Mobley, a microbiologist, is getting his 15 minutes of fame but it’s not over something to be excited about. Speaking with Neil Cavuto the doctor warns precautions and proper screening is not set up to deal with the clusters of infected who will eventually come to the US. He said when he went through the security check at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport he was only asked if he had tobacco or alcohol.
As of now the disease can only be transferred from person to person with direct contact of bodily fluids. That means wiping your eye (as Mobley demonstrates) and shaking someones hand is all that needs to happen. Or how about a small cut on one’s hand who grips a hand rail that someone infected, but has no symptoms, touched! Wh at happens when Ebola comes in contact with American physiology which is much different from Africans or Europeans, Asians etc for that matter? (Don’t want anyone saying I’m being racist) Again I will ask what happens when a disease like this is introduced to a large population unlike the small towns and villages in Africa? With all the bugs, vaccines and drugs in our systems exactly how will the virus react, especially since we know many bugs are becoming drug resistant? Mutation IS NOT out of the question. So I stand with the doctor when he says the CDC is lying and being disingenuous to this biological threat. All it takes is a droplet (microscopic!) of infected bodily fluid to get into another person.
Heres a better question EVERYONE should be asking: How is it possible the UN/ US etc called to stop travel to Israel because the airport MIGHT be attacked, during recent conflict, but travel to and from W Africa remains open!? Hmm? Someone want to explain this? Then again same argument has stood for over a decade about the border. How is it we can practically be stripped naked to get on an airplane yet the border is left wide open!? Questions like these just goes to show you those in power really couldn’t careless about you and me!
