For the record approx 170K were killed by the bomb, but believe it or not approx 1 million lives were spared as a massive invasion of Japan was planned to end the war in the Pacific!
Once upon a time we fought wars to win. You bring a knife, we bring a gun. You bring semi-auto, we bring full-auto. You wear body armor, we’ll use armor-piercing rounds… The point being made here is one will always up the ante to end things. If we had bombed the hell out of Al Qaeda, Taliban and other terror groups, pounding them into dust we would see a huge reduction in terrorism. We know this to be true because we bombed the hell out of Japan, they got the hint and surrendered! But now that the rocket scientists are running things no one wins, fights break out all the time and if the evil US uses its might to end a fight well we do it in anger!
