The Trump camp, many of its surrogates and supporters incl RNC head Reince Priebus are calling for unity in the GOP. That will be hard when the TrumpTrain continues to attack and berate Cruz supporters and die-hard Constitutional Conservatives who have legitimate problems with many of Trumps positions. It will be even less likely to happen when you have Trump more or less telling them to take a hike “go away go away and maybe come back in eight years after we serve two terms.” in this Today Show clip which won’t mend any burnt bridges.
Not surprising the NeverTrump movement is standing firm making it clear they will not vote for Trump because he simply is not a representation of their values and principles. Frankly they shouldn’t have any effect since Trump never had their support to begin with. So anyone pointing blame on them, “no vote for Trump is a vote for Hilary” is childish to say the least. He got this far without his opposition on the right, he doesn’t need it, so I guess many will “go away” good luck in November!
