Washington Examiner Reports Dems are Engaging in Boycotts Over Voter ID Requirements

LET THEM! Let them launch their attacks against corporations if those companies are smart or maybe a few smart TEA Party people and conservatives can get the message across to those businesses they need to support the conservative movement because the left has shown how low it will go.

Why hasn’t someone confronted Clyburn and asked him why he isn’t screaming bloody murder for being required to show ID when one buys liquor, cigarettes, drives a car, pays by check & sometimes credit card, to get into a nightclub, gamble in a casino or fly on a plane? This is completely backwards and insane really to expect one who Clyburn and company claims is being discriminated against, to have ID for these things but not to vote. How does that work James? Those you are coming to the rescue for don’t seem to have a problem coughing up an ID to buy things or drive, but you claim are upset they need ID to prove they are eligible to vote?!! Tell the truth progressive, you just want people to vote multiple times and all those illegals you patron to to vote for your BOY KING come November!!

The left knows the boycotting tactic works that’s why they do it. They are banking on YOU to sit by and once again take it. America your silence on this is proof enough, your lack to engage the left because of being called names etc is proof! You MUST start fighting back, the easiest way is through a COUNTER BOYCOTT!

Go after all business, companies, organizations (YES even if it is a charity) these people are working with. The left must be shown they do not hold the patent on this tactic. I cannot stress it enough you cannot sit back, the longer you do, the longer you are silent (that goes for venting on the internet but not in real world) the greater ground they will gain.

WAKE UP you are losing your country to bullies, and understand that person you are waiting for to come along and do something is YOU!!!

Coke caves in face of Democratic boycott threat | Washington Examiner

Democratic officials Wednesday launched a two-pronged attack on states with new laws requiring identification before voting, the highlight being a call to boycott Coke, Walmart and others that back a leading organization pushing for voter ID laws.

Coke was quick to react to the political boycott threat, pulling support from the targeted group just five hours after it was called. Walmart said that support for a group does not mean it backs every decision by those groups.

At issue: Liberal claims that some states are trying to keep minority voters from the polls via voter ID laws, a suggestion conservatives call silly.

“We are organizing. We are not agonizing,” said Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., who is leading a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee effort to get government identification into the hands of the estimated 2-3 million Democrats who don’t have one. “We have staffed up,” he said.

Officials from another party-backed group, Color of Change, kicked off a boycott of Coke and other financial backers of the American Legislative Exchange Council which supports new voter ID laws. Other supporters include Walmart and Koch Industries. The boycott call started with a tweet (@CocaCola is helping undermine voting rights. Tell them to stop) and a webpage. The group also has tied the Council to the Trayvon Martin shooting case.

In caving into the economic threats, Coke told Secrets: “The Coca-Cola Company has elected to discontinue its membership with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Our involvement with ALEC was focused on efforts to oppose discriminatory food and beverage taxes, not on issues that have no direct bearing on our business. We have a long-standing policy of only taking positions on issues that impact our Company and industry.”

Walmart didn’t go as far as withdrawing support, but told Secrets: “Our membership in any organization does not affirm our agreement with each policy created by the broader group. Walmart has a long history of supporting voter rights, and we continue to be a strong proponent of this issue. In fact, Walmart was an active supporter in 2006 of the renewal of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. … Read More
