John Lott has no chance to explain facts to these people. They don’t want to hear that gun free zones are free killing zones. They don’t want to hear that cities/ states with heavy weapon restrictions have higher levels of violent crimes. They don’t want to hear that all of these mass shooters are having severe psychological episodes, some undetectable, other overlooked! People just snap sometimes and it’s not the guns or gun owners fault.
Facts are irrelevant to the radical left at this point. They see a shooting and assume all of the above ban is the solution. Fact when you call 911 the police are 5-10 minutes away. Meanwhile you have some monster breaking into your home, stealing from your business, attacking someone or God know what else happening. Police are seldom there when you need them. Police arrive after a crime has been committed or during a crime where we have a stand-off, pursuit etc. Police will never be there before a crime occurs. Quite frankly they are there to take reports, lock someone up, mark evidence and note where the body is located… and an honest cop will admit this to be true.
