Money grows on trees don’t you know and those RICH people running the schools don’t deserve all that money they make. I have mixed feeling on higher education. I don’t think you need to go if you’re going to go into business for yourself, or pursue a career that doesn’t require a higher education. Now if you are planning to go into a career to be doctors, lawyers, engineers, in the sciences, medical related, teaching, accounting and many more yes get a degree! But there are many careers you do/ can be where it’s not necessary, no I’m not going to list them all but some you can get a training certificate or diploma from a trade school. I know of bond traders who never went to college but were making 6 figures!
WHO started this idea “you have to get a degree”? I mean this is something that has been beaten into most people’s heads for at least the last 50 years? There was a time when you got your HS diploma and then entered the working world and no I’m not talking about pumping gas. People got very good jobs without a degree and then all of a sudden a college degree because a requirement! Most people who get college degrees do not pursue or end up in careers related to their college studies. The curriculums suck too btw! I got a degree in finance but had to take courses in history, english RACE RELATIONS! Why? I want to be a business guy working with numbers, contracts etc!
To make matters worse we now have people graduating with degrees that can’t get jobs. They are competing against those already with degree out of work trying to find jobs and now the president and his ilk like Rangel are pushing to make college free?!
The economy cannot sustain this government will pay for everything mentality. The US is BROKE!!! Not everyone has to go to college.
Be warned the same logic, language and arguments used in favor of obamacare are the same ones being put to use for college tuition.
State controlled healthcare and soon enough higher education are two key areas used to control the masses. Welcome to Orwell’s 1984! Now get back to your busy complacent life where you will complain to your close circle of friends, family and online network while being silent publicly.
