The emperor should have taken a position before things got this bad, and that position should have been the US is staying out of the Syrian civil war. Instead he waits until things escalate to where people are calling on the US to do something. He then gives up intel of what we would hit if we were to strike and now says I’ll wait until Congress gets back to take a vote. This shows he is clueless and incapable of leading (like we don’t know that already) because any other President would have called Congress back from vacation to vote on whether to take action or not.
Let me be clear this is a no win situation to begin with but his majesty delaying a response of any is what makes matters worse which is a sign of weakness to middle eastern cultures.
