I don’t recall anyone saying anything about taking ones voting rights away! Lewis is using scare tactics and lying to the crowd… MLK would be ashamed of him if he were here today. The purpose of the Voting Rights Act was to protect those who fall victim of discrimination. SCOTUS ruled appropriately, in effect saying discrimination is not an issue as it was 40 years ago. They are leaving the power to the states under the 10th Amendment to decide how their elections are run.
The bigger picture on this is because of the left wants amnesty giving them potentially 11 million new voters to stay in power. You know this to be true because Lewis throws it in his speech at the end!
