All these progs are whining about the damage to the US’s credibility, what credibility obama already has torched it!? There is NOTHING to be gained and no threat to the US to strike Syria; so the War powers Act is out. The emperor needs Congressional approval to go in and they should tell him no. If he does an end run on Congress he should be impeached immediately! What you should get from all these progressives, like Rep Peter King, coming out in favor of a strike against Syria is that they want to see a full-fledged war started. You see global war eventually leads to a change in global power!
Also take note everyone calling for a strike is using the actions of past presidents to justify action today. Well I’m sorry to say we are in a completely different world now and I will bet if we take a look at what happened in the past we may all agree those presidents acted outside their power too! Just because Reagan went to Grenada and Clinton went in to Bosnia doesn’t make it okay for the emperor today. The world wasn’t on fire (at least not visibly then) as it is today. The middle east is a complete and total powder keg about to go off. Striking Syria is like striking Iran. Some will make a grand reach and argue it’s a strike on Russia! I don’t recall those types of dynamics existing when Reagan hit Grenada or Clinton in Bosnia.
Obama striking Syria could… COULD very well start World War III. We know Syria will attack Israel in retaliation and the Iranians will jump in for sure. Don’t forget Egypt is on fire too, everyone seems to be forgetting that mess not to mention threats that have been made at Saudi Arabia! Do you think if it escalates it will be just isolated to that region? Other locations will break out in fighting and we will be pulled into it one way or another!
