Take note Prof Jonathan Turley is a democrat who voted for and agrees with many of obamas policies but even he sees the dangers we are in. This should be alarming to all Americans but with so many back to sleep it’s not surprising people will not hear his words. All Presidents have used executive orders and YES emperor obama has issued less than his predecessors but what isn’t being discussed is the context/ content of his EO’s vs Bush, Clinton, Reagan etc.
Obama is issuing executive orders which in fact are changing laws of the land like obamacare or completely dismissing others. The Executive Branch cannot write or change laws but he is. The rate of his executive power being used to legislate from the imperial throne room is accelerating at a dangerous rate remaining unchallenged. Congress and the Supreme Court are passive even complicit at this point by their silence and lack of action. Even if a federal court, SCOTUS or Congress was to take action against obama’s executive orders exactly who will carry out the cease and desist order? Obama won’t listen to ANYONE. Our next logical move would be for the Attorney General to hold the president accountable, but that won’t happen because Eric Holder is 100% in agreement with obama breaking the law. Holder even encourages other state attorney generals to not follow the law as he has done recently with the debate on gay marriages.
We have a useless impotent Congress, the Supreme Court rules by political opinion where impeachment, Article V convention(this will take years and we don’t have the time), lawsuits to stop this out of control president etc etc are all futile. All we have left at this point is our military, BUT they seem to have forgotten their oaths or are selective/ discriminative as to who is and isn’t a domestic enemy they swore to defend against! We are in fact in a de facto state of pre-civil war. There I said it because NO ONE else will.
