Obamacare Architect: “Be Prepared to Kiss Your Insurance Company Good-Bye Forever”

Not only is our general level of care being destroyed under barackobamacare but insurance companies as we know them are going to go under replaced with accountable care organizations (ACOs). This all of course is by design to put the govt in complete control of our healthcare system. Progressives will never be happy until they are in complete control of our lives from cradle to grave. All of you that supported obamacare that work for insurance companies who will be replaced with ACOs I hope you are happy! Many of you will be joining the 100+ million Americans out of work/ underemployed, and maybe just maybe you will feel the pain those of us that worked in the lending industry have felt being completely blacklisted from working anywhere!

Once upon a time the left hid behind the dark side of what is buried in barackobamacare but now arrogance shines through with the architect of it bragging about how his monster will change healthcare as we know it. I find Zeke Emanuel to be one of the most arrogant SOBs in the country who IMO will be responsible for the deaths of many! Yea I said it and I’m not taking it back. People are losing their health plans it is just a matter of time until the number of deaths start accumulating as a result of Americans care being altered/ halted under the law this guy devised. Remember the left denied the existence of death panels even though it is spelled out in barackobamare which is based on Emanuel’s true lives system!

Elections have consequences and the 3 million of you who bailed on the country in 2012 are just as responsible as those who back this law!

Insurance Companies as We Know Them Are About to Die
by Ezekiel Emanuel
Americans hate health insurance companies. They are easy targets for everyone to beat up on. When premiums go up, we blame insurance companies; we do not blame the underlying hospitals or physicians who charge high prices that drive up insurance costs. When people with cancer, heart attacks, or other diseases are denied insurance, we blame insurance companies; we do not blame the underlying voluntary insurance market that necessitates underwriting. When our wish for a new high-priced drug is denied, we blame insurance companies; we do not blame drug companies that set the price at over $100,000. Politicians can always elicit an applause by attacking the health insurance companies, reinforcing this bad-guy image of insurance companies.

This is not to say that insurance companies are angels, but they are also not the devil incarnate. A lot of what people consider to be their bad behavior is the inevitable result of the way the health care system is structured and how it incentivizes and forces certain behaviors.

The good news is you won’t have insurance companies to kick around much longer. The system is changing. As a result, insurance companies as they are now will be going away. Indeed, they are already evolving. For the next few years insurance companies will both continue to provide services to employers and, increasingly, compete against each other in the health insurance exchanges. In that role they will put together networks of physicians and hospitals and other services and set a premium. But because of health care reform, new actors will force insurance companies to evolve or become extinct. The accountable care organizations (ACOs) (which I discuss in Chapter 8 of my new book) and hospital systems will begin competing directly in the exchanges and for exclusive contracts with employers. These new organizations are delivery systems with networks of physicians and hospitals that provide comprehensive care. This health delivery structure is in its infancy.…more
