This is a perfect example as to why Josh Earnest, like all regime press secretaries, is labeled Minister of Propaganda (or Propaganda Minister). This is not a game, nor a battle of story telling. ISIS and other islamic radicals are at war with the West (US, Europe etc) because we do not pray 5 times a day, live in hut, oppress women, believe killing is a way to heaven etc. It goes beyond narrative, because they kill people over their narrative. If you want to talk about a difference in political views, ie democrat vs republican, maybe this “narrative battle” theory applies. disEarnest trivializing it though, as this regime has calling ISIS JV, is dangerous as it shows how this administration to this day refuses to see the true threat ISIS and radical islamic extremists pose on the civilized world.
