Leftists are relentless with their attempts to stop Pres Trump’s travel ban, as the Supreme Court heard arguments over the travel ban Leftists claim is illegal, which violate “immigrants” and “refugees” rights in Trump v Hawaii. The fact Trump’s travel ban is based on the same law obama used with his travel ban to the same countries, as well as fmr Pres Carter not surprisingly is being ignored.
In 2015 candidate Trump sent the media and Leftists into a tailspin when he called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on..”
All the Constitutional scholars for each and every network since then have come out of the woodwork claiming POTUS doesn’t have the power to ban or block people coming into the US. Well they are wrong!
First off the media needs to be reminded about April 7, 1980 when Pres Carter banned Iranians from coming into the US during the hostage crisis:
“…Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly…”
Where were all the MSM Constitutional scholars to condemn Carter for banning Iranians from entering the US? Weren’t the Iranians “rights” being violated?
The Left’s biggest problem is their insistence to ignore laws on the books. That pesky US immigration code (aka federal law), no one seems to want to read anymore, makes it clear POTUS has the power under 8 US Code § 1182 – Inadmissible aliens to restrict entry into the US…

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.”

For those unaware the US Constitution is NOT a treaty with the rest of the world.
The USA is not open for anyone and everyone to just come here as they please. People who are not US citizens, or have legal status, DO NOT have a right to come to the US, they DO NOT have Constitutional rights either!
America is a sovereign nation who has the right to determine who can and cannot enter. The Left wants people to think otherwise, thus these frivolous lawsuits where they will go out on a major stretch claiming said non-citizens rights (First Amendment with regards to religion) are being violated! A muslim in Yemen whose family member(s) are legally in the US, DOES NOT have any right to come here! They DO NOT have a claim that their First Amendment rights are being violated under the travel the ban. This you should know is the basis of the lawsuits being brought against the Trump administration. Leftist attorneys are arguing those who are banned are having their rights violated… they don’t have any in the US.
Let me make this real clear: Person X, living in country Y, who has never stepped foot on US soil has NO legal rights to be in the US, nor claim their rights to religion etc (First Amend) are being violated by being denied entry into the US.
ISIS, al Qaeda and other terror groups may be on the run (for now) but we are still at war with radical islam. These killers have infiltrated every single “muslim” nation in which “refugees” and immigrants are doing everything they can to get into the US and Europe. Keep in mind ISIS said they would infiltrate the West by blending in with the migrant and refugee escaping the lands they took over!
Pres Trumps statement in 2015 to his travel ban order today is not racist, it is within his plenary powers as POTUS. US law above is clear in the powers delegated to POTUS to stop ANY CLASS of aliens, immigrants or non-immigrants from entering the US, so the arguments against, claims of racism will not hold. While people want to argue over semantics our enemies are working hard on their next attack. Infiltrators don’t get caught up with word play and are probably laughing at us as they mix in with the refugees and “migrants” attempting to enter the US; YES that includes family members of those already legally here. The Left doesn’t see it that way, they couldn’t careless about this nations security, thus we see them time after time on the wrong side of the argument.
