RT has put their share of spin and propaganda out but I find nothing inaccurate of this assessment by Phyllis Bennis, of the Institute for Policy Studies, about obama. Remember during the emperors speech he said he had the authority to strike but would seek Congressional approval like he is doing all of us babies and whiners about adhering to the Constitution a favor. I believe there are enough people in Congress that will vote against action in Syria. I guarantee you when another chemical attack takes place he will blame Congress and the American people for it.
If this narcissist had just kept his mouth shut last year we wouldn’t be in this mess and on the verge of starting a World War! Bennis was correct when she said there are 5 ongoing wars right now: “…five separate wars that are underway, only one of which is the Civil War. We also already have a regional war between Iran and Saudi Arabia. We have a sectarian war between Sunni and Shia. We have a war, so far of words, between the US and Russia. We have a war between Iran and the US and Israel. All of these wars are being fought to the last Syria, so whatever happens it’s going to be the people in Syria who pay the final price.”
One of the things you have to keep in the back of your head about Syria is that they are an arm of Iran, which is and has been in bed with Russia. Consider Syria a “state” of Iran, and that is why this is so volatile and dangerous. The ramifications of striking Syria is completely different from Iraq or Afghanistan. You hit Syria you are hitting Tehran! So, Obama striking Syria could very well be the spark that sets everything off!
