This progressive who has bowed down to the obama agenda MUST be removed from the Senate. He is the typical career politician who will get on the airwaves and tell people what they want to hear, maybe champion a cause, as he did coming to victims of obamacare whom Harry Reid called liars. McConnell’s actions and behind the door rhetoric are those of one at war with the American people. McConnell and many of the establishment republicans seem to forget they didn’t win the 2010 elections it was we the people that “built that”.
You don’t hear Mitch railing against democrats and obama. You hear him kissing up to Rand Paul, attacking Ted Cruz and all conservative & TEA Party candidates. These people he attacks are representations of the American people! He cuts deals behind the door with Reid and obama screwing the American people almost daily!
The level of urgency to remove closet communists masquerading as democrats from the House and Senate should be the same for establishment progressive republicans like McConnell, Boehner, Graham, McCain, Cantor, P King etc. These people who vow to crush TEA Party candidates are in effect vowing to crush YOU!
That said McConnell is being primary challenged by Matt Bevin. I do not give a damn about what happened when Bevin signed off on some financial document for a company he worked for about the 2008 stimulus. Many people were in favor of the stimulus before they realized how bad it would be for the nation. Bevin went on Glenn Beck’s show to set the record straight…
Since that interview it’s become a “he said he said” but in the bigger picture does it really matter? NO! What matters is what we do today and going forward. Bevin wants to put a stop to status quo in DC, which McConnell is guilty of keeping alive and well. WASHINGTON — As conservative activist groups stirred up trouble for establishment Republican Senate candidates in 2010 and 2012, party leaders in Washington first tried to ignore the insurgents, then tried to reason with them, and ultimately left it to primary voters to settle the matter.
But after several of those conservatives — in Nevada, Colorado and Delaware in 2010 and in Indiana and Missouri in 2012 — managed to win their primaries but lose in the general election, party leaders felt stung by what they saw as avoidable defeats.
This election season, Republicans led by Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky are taking a much harder line as they sense the majority within reach. Top congressional Republicans and their allies are challenging the advocacy groups head on in an aggressive effort to undermine their credibility. The goal is to deny them any Senate primary victories, cut into their fund-raising and diminish them as a future force in Republican politics.
“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,†Mr. McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, said in an interview, referring to the network of activist organizations working against him and two Republican incumbents in Kansas and Mississippi while engaging in a handful of other contests. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.â€..more
