Sheriff Painter and al the other law enforcement officials in border states wouldn’t have to worry about the cartels or terror cells crossing the border if DC would do their damn jobs and lock the border down. Instead there are sections wide open that can easily be crossed by anyone unchallenged. Other nations including Mexico have more stringent immigration policies, but the US no no! If we put up a real fence to keep people out and enforce our laws on the books we then we are “racists, bigots, inhumane and hate those poor people just trying to make a better life for themselves!”
You know when something will be done about the border? AFTER we get hit again and no one is going to like whatever new border policy is cooked up afterwards either. Those running this country have a habit of reacting to an event instead of staying ahead of it. When DC does this we always get the worst pieces of legislation because “we have to do something”.
