No Indictment for NYPD Chokehold Death

Talk about throwing gasoline on a fire! Unlike the Mike Brown case many were expecting an indictment to come from the grand jury against the NYPD officer for the death of Eric Garner. The chokehold used by the officer was determined to be too excessive and “illegal”. I have to agree with CNN’s legal analyst that the grand jury should have come back with a lesser charge of some kind to get this in front of a jury. The Fox legal analyst IMO made an incorrect assumption of the officers intent to use a “seatbelt” hold, from the video his hands/arms never changed position to put such a hold on Garner.

Eric Garner was in the wrong for resisting but that doesn’t justify excessive use of force especially when arresting officer is using an “illegal” hold! With everything going on from Ferguson this decision has only made racial tensions worse.
