At first glance you assume this is a joke or some parody, but apparently this guy is for real!
His name is Spenser Rapone, on Facebook he is listed as “Giuseppe Impastato“, which is the name of an Italian anti-mafia political activist, on Twitter Commie Bebop @punkproletarian, now serving as an “Infantry officer in the US Army“.
How can you support communism, be a fan of a cold-blooded killer (Che Guevara), attend West Point and serve in the US Army? If anyone out there has the resources can we find out exactly what his story is?
Surely there are some violations of the Code of Conduct, as a West Point grad and now an officer in US Army, making political speech while in uniform?
I cannot imagine having to serve with someone like this who really makes no sense. If you read his piece in Medium, where he condemns the Confederacy, fascists, racists (ya know the drill) and more importantly his alma mater West Point, at the least he is contradicting himself being a fan of Che who hated blacks and minorities. The content of his Twitter and Facebook timelines are riddled with communist, socialist, marxist and anarchist material – while also throwing in support for Colin Kapernick!
What the hell is going at West Point that someone like this first off got in, made it through undetected while clearly having issues with the school and US, was able to graduate and now is charged with the protection of the US, a capitalist nation!!??
Again I hope I’m wrong and this is a joke, but if there is one like this within the ranks of our military there are many, many more! Should SHTF in the US what will people like this do, whose side will the be on? Will he and those like him uphold their oath or take advantage of the situation to bring the US down?
If this is joke Rapone needs to come clean. Otherwise this is beyond disturbing to learn of the type of people serving in the US military.

For those in doubt, this is 100% legit. ArmyTimes confirmed Rapone’s identity with West Point. Rapone is 2nd Lieutenant with the 10th Mountain Division.
AT points out Defense Dept regs that “active duty service members are not permitted to promote political parties or candidates while in uniform.” No other information whether there would be any disciplinary action.
