Kirsten Gillibrand, desperate to make ground in her quest for the White House in 2020 ,announced on Face the Nation she won’t detain any illegal alien. I guess that means she and those of like-minds in New York, and across the US, will be taking these people into THEIR homes (feeding, clothing, educating, providing medical care and spending money) BEFORE they ask American taxpayers to do so!
“As President, I wouldn’t use the detention system at all. In fact what I would do is fund the border security measures that are anti-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, anti-drug trafficking, anti-gun trafficking. And I would defund these for profit prison systems that are harming children and harming families who are seeking asylum.
… They don’t need to be incarcerated. If they’re given a lawyer and given a process, they will follow it. They can go into the community the way we used to handle these cases under Dept of Justice”
One democrat after another has sent a clear message they want open borders, allowing illegals to come and go as they please. They do not care about the economic and social impacts.. strain illegals will put on Americans, let alone the countless criminals and evil-doers entering who pose a threat.
What’s going on at the border is as much a national security issue as it is a humanitarian crisis. Gillibrand and co don’t really care they just see the potential of one party rule when illegals permanently change America’s demographics, as they did in California, which is completely lost.
The border needs to be shutdown asap. Why POTUS hasn’t invoked the powers delegated to him via 8 US Code § 1182 – Inadmissible aliens, as well as 10 US Code § 284, to build the wall is beyond me.
