Huckabee Being Considered for VP?!

I see one more article about this my head is going to explode! This guy is completely off the radar yet is being considered for VP? WTF?!

I wanna know who started this? Is Hucakbee’s name being thrown in an act by the “GOP establishment”? If so consider that one more reason to kick everyone out of DC. You get them out, all that lobbying power goes away with it! This guy hosts a tv show 1 day a week and has a daily radio show trying to go up against Rush Limbaugh. Where is evidence of his interest to run for office again?

Sorry but if this guy was to be chosen as the VP running mate we will be dealing with an Obama second term! Names that should be considered are obvious to many, Santorum, Rubio, Christie or Allen West. If the nominee (most likely Romney) really wants to rattle the monsters cage he would be wise in choosing Allen West. Allen West is everything the left hates and people could rally behind.

Romney/ West ticket would be the smartest move IMO to take down the Obama regime.

Conservative Leaders REALLY Want Mike Huckabee To Be Vice President

By Grace Wyler BusinessInsider

With Mitt Romney’s nomination all but assured, the vice presidential guessing game is off to a running start.

Most of the early speculation has focused on shiny young stars like Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan, or stolid battleground surrogates like Ohio Senator Rob Portman and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.

But conservatives have another name in mind: Mike Huckabee, the folksy former Arkansas Governor who has spent the past five years winning over the GOP base as a host for Fox News.

Over the past few weeks, Huckabee has emerged as the clear VP favorite among evangelicals and conservative leaders, many of whom are concerned about Romney’s ability to mobilize grassroots Republicans.

“Romney’s going to have to have all of the support he can get from his base,” American Family Association founder Don Wildmon told Business Insider. “He’s going to need somebody to get evangelicals who didn’t vote four years ago excited and go out to the polls. And Mike Huckabee is the only one who can do it in the way it needs to be done.”

“It’s going to be hard to get people to go to the polls unless they’ve got some reason to go,” Wildmon added. “If they’ve got somebody that they know, that they can support without question, then they’ll go, they’ll make it happen.”… Read More

Huckabee for Veep?

By Robert Costa National Review Online
The conventional wisdom about Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential short list, according to a handful of Romney insiders, may be wrong. Instead of picking a straitlaced Midwestern senator such as Ohio’s Rob Portman, or an outspoken northeastern Republican governor such as Chris Christie, there is a chance Romney will tap an evangelical from the South.

And the name on the lips of Romney friends and supporters isn’t a rising southern senator or a current Dixie governor. He has been out of office for five years, resides on a beach in the Florida panhandle, and hosts a television show.

In other words, Mike Huckabee, the bass-guitar-playing former governor.

Yes, according to several sources close to the Romney campaign, who insisted on anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the vice-presidential search, the 56-year-old Arkansan may be included in the veep mix.

To many Republicans, a ticket with a Mormon bishop and a Baptist preacher isn’t far-fetched. “In a way, it’s almost a dream ticket,” says Ed Rollins, the chairman of Huckabee’s 2008 presidential campaign. “He’s substantive and knows domestic policy, and his personality wouldn’t overshadow Romney’s.”… Read More
