The atrocities in Syria are unspeakable, trust me I’ve seen footage most Americans have not seen. That said with most US troops home from Iraq and others still carrying on an unknown mission in Afghanistan our military is needs a break… this is not our fight.
West makes an outstanding point during the interview asking who are the freedom fighters?! The same problem arose in Libya and many were against actions there where some believe terrorists, like Al Qaeda, were in fact the “freedom fighters”. So how can you lend assistance when you don’t know who the players are! The long-term effects/ ramifications need to be analyzed even if air strikes or supplying weapons and supplies is considered.
We cannot get involved especially now with all the uprisings taking place in the ME. US intervention will incite the radical extremists and as the Lt. Col makes clear could very well start a WW3.
He continues to touch on the Emperors position towards the military, Iran and Pakistan.
