I think Wilson accomplished what he wanted to by getting the designs done onto the web. One of his main platforms is our right to keep and bear arms where no one has a right to deny that of another.
It has opened Pandora’s Box to get all the gun grabbers out of the shadows and show their faces. What will they do next ban 3D printers? Make you get a license to own one and regulate the software? Will they want to regulate the raw materials? How will it be enforced, will their be regulatory group established to police all 3D printer owners? What about machine shops? Will machine shops have to be regulated and all get licensed? Will they be subject to scrutiny because the same CAD files can be uploaded onto a CNC machine? Will those who produce raw materials have to keep records of who they sell to? The questions can go on and on, the answer is there is no way to stop the people from arming themselves now. Only card gun grabbers have is to go after ammunition makers and their raw materials suppliers.
Once downloaded by just a few there is no way to remove them from the net completely. The internet will be swept but the plans are in way too many hands now.
