That strategy McRINO talked about in a nutshell is to take out Assad’s air power and “upgrading the resistance” i.e. FSA (Free Syrian Army). First of all go take a look at McCain’s appeals last year for aiding Libya, it was almost the same rhetoric. Second, the FSA are not the good guys either, here’s a sample of their handy work. The FSA is/ are composed of radical islamic extremists and various terror groups including Al Qaeda. Third, what you are witnessing is the whitewashing of aid ALREADY going to Syria originally initiated by Amb Chris Stevens. What do you think he was doing in Libya?! The US was and has been running arms into the middle east. This call to supply the rebels is to now legitimize what the regime was already doing.
In Libya we armed the rebels only to find out the US was aiding terror groups. This is why the CIA set up camp in Benghazi to go in there and get those arms out of the terrorists hands. Glen Doherty told ABC News they were there on an intel mission to track weapons. Shipments of weapons have continued to come out of Libya to Turkey destined for Syrian rebels!
Folks this whole thing has WAR written all over it regardless of what McCain and Graham have to say. They are looking for a fight and Graham himself even acknowledged the connections between Syria, Iran and Russia. So why he and McCain are calling for military action that we all know will result in WAR is baffling!
