Fox News Hits ‘Spectacular Failure’ of Obama Transparency Goal, Admin Rewrote FOIA

Tattered American Flag DistressThis regime is the most secretive admin in history with a potus we know nothing about because all his personal records were sealed BEFORE he was elected! This regime has blocked reporters access to events, used their own internal photographers vs news pool photographers, blocks and denies FOIA requests and now it is reported, by the Washington Times, they went ahead and rewrote the law in 2009 to suppress “sensitive” documents!

This rewrite was done by the admin aka Executive Branch but last time I checked the Exec branch EXECUTES laws it does not legislate or amend laws!

“ARTICLE 1 SECTION 1
All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”

Nothing in the Constitution states the Executive Branch has the power to make or amend laws but this radical progressive regime does it daily! Does the separation of powers matter to the obama regime? Of course not! Does Congress care they have been rendered irrelevant and impotent by this progressive = communist radical dictator occupying the white house? Apparently not because they are too busy carving out their little kingdoms on we the people’s back!

We are in a Constitutional crisis and those charged to protect and defend the Constitution in DC are on permanent vacation while our military remains asleep for the most part or chooses to discriminate as to who is and isn’t a domestic enemy!

‘Most transparent’ White House ever rewrote the FOIA to suppress politically sensitive docs
by Mark Tapscott|Washington Times
It’s Sunshine Week, so perhaps some enterprising White House reporter will ask press secretary Jay Carney why President Obama rewrote the Freedom of Information Act without telling the rest of America.

The rewrite came in an April 15, 2009, memo from then-White House Counsel Greg Craig instructing the executive branch to let White House officials review any documents sought by FOIA requestors that involved “White House equities.”

That phrase is nowhere to be found in the FOIA, yet the Obama White House effectively amended the law to create a new exception to justify keeping public documents locked away from the public.

A serious breach

The Greg memo is described in detail in a new study made public today by Cause of Action, a Washington-based nonprofit watchdog group that monitors government transparency and accountability.

How serious an attack on the public’s right to know is the Obama administration’s invention of the “White House equities” exception?..more
