Thanks to Reid invoking the nuclear option there is a high probability this guy who is only 36, inexperienced as a MD in my opinion, could be appointed Surgeon General. We got lucky with the DOJ Civil Rights Division appointment getting shutdown in the Senate but this “Dr” Vivek Hallegere Murthy didn’t support a cop killer sparking national outrage especially from police unions to be rejected in a Senate vote.
If you didn’t catch it in the Megyn Kelly segment let me spell out his political affiliation. Vivek Hallegere Murthy runs a group called Doctors for America (anti-gun group) BUT it use to be called Doctors for Obama (supported obamacare, Medicaid expansion other liberal agenda)! Yes the good “doctor”, who was an attending for only 8 years, campaigned for obama! He is an advocate for strict gun laws, wants doctors to be able to document whether or not their patients are gun owners, who believes gun violence is “public health crisis”!
That should be enough for folks to know how bad or rather dangerous of a selection he would be for Surgeon General. The Second Amendment is not up for discussion or someone getting in a position of influence to push for more gun control. There have been enough court cases and arguments made it is not to be touched. That as you know won’t stop obama from looking for a backdoor to rein in gun control. Be prepared for the progressives to put up a major fight to have Murthy confirmed in the Senate. They will pull the race card citing Debo Adegbile down vote for DOJ, whine that everyone hates obama because he is black, republicans are evil trying to stop obama from getting anything done blah blah!
