HR 4138 is designed to hold the Chief Executive accountable and within the powers delegated under the Constitution, to seek remedy through the courts if laws are violated where the Executive Branch exceeds its scope. As Gowdy points out then Senator Obama had no problem attacking his predecessor for acting above the law looking to the Supreme Court to rein in Executive overreach. I find it insane that a bill has to be written to reinforce what is already spelled out in the Constitution as far as delegations of powers. I appreciate Gowdy and fellow House rebels attempts to get the imperial regime under control but even if this bill passes the House and Senate the imperial emperor will veto it. Why? From the WH Office of Management and Budget “because it violates the separation of powers by purporting to permit the Congress to challenge in court the exercise by the President of one of his core constitutional functions – taking care that Federal laws are faithfully executed.”
The regime complains Congress cannot create additional powers not delegated to them yet the emperor himself is guilty of this complaint on a daily basis! The hypocrisy is off the charts! His majesty has rewritten correction LEGISLATED obamacare from the imperial throne room (formerly Oval Office) 37 times! The only way a bill like this will get through is if there is a supermajority in Congress to override presidential vetoes. You want to put a stop to obama America? In 8 months you better show up at the polls electing conservatives into Congress especially the Senate. We cannot stop obama and his power grabs without controlling the imperial Senate! As long as Dingy Harry Reid is in power obama will continue to violate the laws unchallenged. Hold power in the House increasing the number of conservatives and take the Senate is our last shot at putting an end to his tyranny!
Update 3/13/14:This bill passed the House but as pointed out above it will die in the Senate under Harry Reid. And also pointed out above even if it did pass the Senate it will be vetoed by the very person it was intended to restrain! The only way a bill like this will become law with this president is if conservatives hold a supermajority in the House and Senate that can override a presidential veto!
