I grow so tired of having to point out history. This fight between America and radical islam didn’t start in the last 50 years. This war has been going on since before you and I ever existed, it’s been going on since the founding of this nation. The US Navy was created under George Washington following the attacks on American ships in the Mediterranean by the Barbary Pirates. The fighting and attacks continued into Jefferson’s term where he went the next step creating the US Marines to pounce on them. Where do you think the line “… to the shores of Tripoli..” came from the Marine hymn?
Radical Islam hates everything about us. They hate our culture and our basic way of life because we are free. They are in fear that those they oppress, through their radical beliefs under Sharia, will wise up (possibly rise up) when they learn they don’t have to live a life of squalor praying five times a day! It’s all about power and control which is threatened because Americas very existence and founding shows those oppressed can rise up and conquer their masters!
