All the Supreme Court had to do was uphold the will of the people. They didn’t have to make any ruling that was anti/ pro gay marriage. So much for the will of the people! What SCOTUS did do was set a new precedent that votes do not matter. You put something up for a vote, the people cast their opinion and if you are the opposition and don’t like the ruling take it to court to get it overridden!
So much for that pesky old Constitution and the 9th Amendment!
