Just when you thought it was over after the rogue racist DHS employee appeared to be the sole individual behind the massive ammo stockpiling DHS is at it again! What does Homeland need with so much ammunition? And don’t tell me it’s for all for training & qualification purposes! There are 70,000 firearm-carrying agents under DHS that would equate approximately 2,500 rounds per agent per year. Last time I checked DHS operates on US soil and there haven’t been any mass gunfights between regime stormtroopers, drug cartels, terrorists, radical extremists or lone mass killers. Heck the Border Patrol, under DHS, uses bean bags; that’s how Brian Terry got killed because that is all he was carrying!
This is not copper plated range ammunition DHS is buying, they are buying hollow points and full metal jacket rounds for sidearms to sniper rifles with one purpose: maim, destroy and kill whatever they’re targeting! With the amount of unrest going on around the globe clearly Homeland is arming up for problems in the US. When I can’t tell you but if you follow what is really going on you know an economic collapse is on the horizon. Mark Levin explained last year that he suspects “that just in case our fiscal situation our monetary situation collapses and following it the civil society collapses, that is the rule of law, that they [DHS] want to be prepared. There is no other explanation for this..”
Frankly many of the economic, social and corrupt government activities which are sparking unrest in other countries, like the Ukraine and Venezuela, are no different from the US. IMO DC & Homeland realizes this and wants to be ready thinking it is just a matter of time until the “dam bursts” in the US. This also puts the militarization of law enforcement into perspective as well. Local LE agencies are getting great deals on MRAPs and other military grade equipment but the thing is small town USA doesn’t need them! So the only other reason to make them available is because they want local LE prepared.

DHS Contracted to Purchase 704 Million Rounds of Ammo Over Next 4 Years: 2,500 Rounds Per Officer

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is contracted to purchase 704,390,250 rounds of ammunition over the next four years, which is equal to a total of about 2,500 rounds per DHS agent per year, according to a January 2014 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report entitled Ammunition Purchases Have Declined Since 2009.
“If DHS were to purchase all 704 million rounds over the next four years, and if they were used by 70,000 DHS agents and officers, it would be roughly 2,500 rounds per agent per year,†David Maurer, author of the GAO report, told CNSNews.com.
“That would be higher than what we saw in past years at DHS and higher than the average annual number of rounds per agent or officer at the Department of Justice (DOJ),” he said.
“The 704,390,250 number of rounds is like a ceiling or credit limit which DHS wouldn’t have to fully execute,†said Maurer. “It’s there to use over the next four years until fiscal year 2018, if DHS needed to purchase those rounds.â€
In Appendix III of the GAO report, “Department of Homeland Security Ammunition Contracts, as of October 1, 2013,†it states that “the 29 existing DHS ammunition contracts extend over the next 4 fiscal years and have a remaining contract limit of approximately 704 million rounds (for various ammunition types) if every option for purchasing ammunition were exercised into fiscal year 2018.â€
