Malik Zulu Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party Announces Day of Action for April 9th

Malik Zulu Shabazz appeared on The Muslim Street radio show announcing the New Black Panther Party will be holding a national “Day of Action” set for April 9th. Listen to the podcast here (start listening (if you can tolerate it) @41:00)

Shabazz confirmed the $10,000 bounty to bring Zimmerman to justice, although his counterpart on scene said they were working towards $1 million bounty. So they are in fact encouraging vigilante justice for those involved to take the law into their own hands instead of allowing the legal system to work.

“This Saturday in Sanford, Florida the New Black Panther Party will be conducting county-wide and state-wide defense training and community patrols to protect against racial violence and attacks, and people like Zimmerman. That’s going on all day saturday in Sanford….

On Monday, April 9 we have teamed up with over 300 organizations in a national and international coalition and are calling for a national strike on monday April 9th and calling for a day of absence, where there is no work, no school, and no shopping in the cause of justice for Trayvon and the immediate arrest of Zimmerman and charging him with the appropriate charges…

…. We’re talking now here about community patrols, laying a structure for defense base defense training in the communities where men and women will know how to deal with this violence and police misconduct. We’re talking legal education and legal aid, we’re talking about a national strike and using the power of our labor and our dollars to affect justice.”

What this will do is continue to drive division among Americans. This case has NOTHING to do with racism, there is no proof to this day that the shooting was racially motivated. This is just an opportunity for a highly radical group to use the death of young teen to advance their racist agenda. The same group who was set loose by the DOJ under the direction of Eric Holder after voter intimidation in the 2008 election.
